Brief Description: We wish to recruit an Interior Designer. We need a “Designer” type of person first and foremost. FF&E as well as general “decoration” is relatively easy to find someone that can handle that, but designing, creating, sketching and doing renderings of a new Interior, creating new “looks” is another matter altogether….. Can you do that ??? He/She must be able to draw freehand, and handle the usual CAD programs, AutoCad, 3D studio, Photoshop, etc . This role requires being involved in the interior Design & Styling process of all our boats, Sailing and Motoryachts up to 125m, including several Production Boats. Often we even design the furniture and always looking for new materials and finishes combinations. Once a project is under way we need someone that can interact with our (high net worth) Clients, assisting them in their choice of colour, fabrics and special finishes. The candidate will need to see the projects through from conception to completion and often be able to communicate directly with our Clients. A confident hands-on team player, highly organised , with experience in working directly with our type of clients, but above all with loads of reativity and sense of style and good taste. He/She must have exceptional time management skills, with the ability to handle various projects and work well under pressure. Based in Hamble you will enjoy a quiet location and yet only an hour or so away from London. The job will include travel abroad to visit Clients and Shipyards.
