Education
Chelsea College of Art and Design 2006 - 2008 - FDA Interior Design This course enabled me to learn the technical skills required for Interior Design . I worked on live projects such as designs for a Barber shop. I have also gained skills to use the computer programme CAD.
London College of Fashion 2005 - 2006 - Art and Design foundation degree This course provided me with an opportunity to build upon my previous experience and establish a future direction. My specialist area was textiles. I learnt how to use my skills and work independently on this course.
London College of Fashion 2004 - 2005 - Fashion portfolio diploma, ABC award for Figure drawing I developed my creative skills through workshop and studio sessions. I learnt the principles of design and explored a variety of areas of design and fashion including makeup, photography, styling and fashion design.

Work Experience
Taylor Howes - 2008 For a week I shadowed the interior designers, while helping with ordering fabric samples, chasing up suppliers, photocopying, and making up design boards for clients to see. This was a great opportunity to see how a leading interior design firm operates.
Makeup artist on music video - 2005 I was a makeup artist for a new artist’s music video. This experience helped me to develop my organizational skills and to appreciate the need to work well under pressure. I had to apply makeup for the dancers and extras and ensure they kept to the shooting schedule.
Volunteer art teacher at nursery school - 2004 work experience in a nursery school helping with basic art activities. This involved working with a group of children showing then basic techniques and how to produce work.
Sale organiser, Vivienne Westwood - 2003 I worked at Head Office preparing and organising a warehouse Sale for VIP customers. I had to interact well with customers on a professional level, greeting them upon arrival and assisting them as they went around. I was also responsible for keeping the sale organized.
Intern, Laura Ashley Interior Design Service - 2002 Work experience for a week in the Design Service department. This primarily consisted of making up mood boards for clients from a design plan produced by a designer. I also shadowed a designer on a client visit.
Employment
Fired Earth- sales assistant Sept 09 – Present Fired Earth is a tile, paint, kitchens and bathroom showroom in Tunbridge Wells. My role is customer based offering product knowledge and advice on creating schemes for customers homes with our products. Colour advice is a key part of my role and is given by colour consultations in store. As well as offering creative advice my role requires me to work closely with customers plans. Team work is another vital part of this role.
Cosmeceuticals assistant at Hoopers department store June 09- present Working with 3 beauty brands , providing customers with information and advice on products. Maintaining stock and customer service is a main part of this role.
Party and Booking co-ordinator at Revolution in the City- Sept 08 – Feb 09 •Handling party enquiries and converting bookings for all areas of the building •Communicating with clients to arrange functions •Managing the bookings system to ensure company response targets are met •Communicating internally with management to update the team •Assisting the Sales & Events Manager with sales driving activities •Building relationships with clients to promote the business •Promoting new products to potential clients
Beauty consultant at Harvey Nichols and Peter Jones - Aug 07 – March 08 Working through an agency I was placed mostly at Harvey Nichols and Peter Jones. The Role involved working on various beauty counters as part of a team, selling and giving advice. Interacting with the general public and being able to communicate was a major part of this role.
Promotions at root London (organic food bar) - June- sept 06 I was in charge of a team of promotional girls to promote the new business, handing out flyers. Helping with marketing ideas, phoning companies in the area to promote new business. Admin work such as following orders up of stock, typing up menus and updating website, sorting through paperwork and making relevant phone calls.
Waitress at the Town House and Otters Pocket - Stamford June - Sept 05 Waiter, Bar staff, other responsibilities – Duties would include, cleaning, customer service, waiting on customers, dealing with complaints, serving drinks, serving food.
Waitress at Relish - Tunbridge Wells 2003 - 2005 Part time waitress, worked weekends and holidays while studying at school , the job involved working within a team environment, learning how to deal with many aspects of customer service, working using own initiative and working under pressure
